What the Correlation Says
The Pearson correlation between the daily wind and solar share and the daily mean day-ahead price in Latvia is -0.35 over 320 days: a weak tendency for days with more wind and solar to have lower average prices. Among the 39 zones on the main page, it ranks 15 from the strongest negative link.
Correlation is not causation. Season, weather, demand, gas prices and imports all move at the same time as wind and solar output, so this figure describes how the numbers moved together in this window, not what wind and solar caused. It uses daily averages only.
