Since 2015, Belgium has cut the carbon intensity of its electricity by 42%, from 215 gCO2/kWh to 126 gCO2/kWh in 2025.
Both figures are Ember annual statistics. The fall comes from the change in what Belgium burns and generates, not from generating less.
