In Greece, across 350 days from 2025-09-24 (24 September 2025) to 2026-10-27 (27 October 2026), the average day-ahead price on the quarter of days with the highest wind and solar share was EUR 98.25/MWh, against EUR 117.86/MWh on the quarter with the lowest share (EUR 19.61/MWh lower). The correlation between the two is -0.12, little or no linear link between the wind and solar share and the daily price. Prices are day-ahead, in EUR per MWh as published, and are not converted. Correlation is not causation.

What the Correlation Says
The Pearson correlation between the daily wind and solar share and the daily mean day-ahead price in Greece is -0.12 over 350 days: little or no linear link between the wind and solar share and the daily price. Among the 39 zones on the main page, it ranks 26 from the strongest negative link.
Correlation is not causation. Season, weather, demand, gas prices and imports all move at the same time as wind and solar output, so this figure describes how the numbers moved together in this window, not what wind and solar caused. It uses daily averages only.
